Since my little munchkin man is gone this week and I have some extra time, I decided to post some things I've been meaning to share with you for a while! I'm not the only one that's been busy making stuff. Over the next few days, I'd like you to see some of the other lovely things in my life that people have created.
The first, and most recent, addition to our house is this adorable chair for the nursery. My Mother-in-Law bought an antique chair at an auction for super cheap (maybe $5 or less), took it apart, reupholstered the seat (quilted, in fact!), and painted the wood. It's perfect!
She even added a cute kitten:
We love it! Thank you! And just wait, it gets better...

Um, love this. Your mom-in-law is so talented. I remember all the goodies she made you for your shower!
So, will she make me things when I have kids? I think she should... :) Can't wait to sit in that chair!
Love to see old things made new. There are many missed opportunities for creativity, learning, and re-use that are sacrificed to the cheap god of Wal-Mart.
Bravo!
