I think I wrote a really long time ago about Simon building a bench. He did, in fact, build a bench, and it turned out so wonderfully! We stained it and it now has a home in our living room.
It serves a purpose too. Besides being able to sit on it to put on shoes, we decided to keep our games inside.

In addition to this bench, he also built 2 more benches, one for each of our mothers. They were slightly different, but totally fabulous. If I ever get pictures of them (we're forgetful when it comes to taking pictures of those things), I'll be sure to post them.
